IMAP / SMTP / OUTLOOK XP / SQLMAIL

Are there any problems using Outlook XP as the MAPI Client for SQLMAIL?
We are using an IMAP / SMTP email configuration at work and have
configured the outlook profile under the admin's / SQL Service account
login but still am not recieving emails - does the profile need to be
configured a certain way? can we use SQLMAIL with an IMAP client?I've head problems using Outlook XP, I prefer Outlook 2000. There are loads on KB articles, so be
prepared to read and search KB. One way to troubleshoot is to use xp_sendmail and see if you get
some error code that can help you finding the appropriate KB article.
Have you considered using xp_smtp_sendmail which doesn't require MAPI at all? www.SQLDev.Net.
